Looking after your ring is ever so important to keep it good looking for as long as possible. We know your ASTRID ring becomes part of your everyday, something your hands return to again and again. That is exactly why we have designed our rings with a focus on quality, lasting durability and a finish made to endure. With a little care and attention, you can prolong your ring's lifetime even further.

Take care of your ring

All our rings are carefully crafted in 316L surgical stainless steel, brass or sterling silver, and each material has its own character. Many of our rings also feature a moving element, a spinning head or a slider, that gives them their signature calming feel. Good care protects both the surface and the movement, so your ring keeps looking and feeling its best over time.

Prevent rapid wear

Avoiding damp and humid environments is the best way to protect your ring and prolong its lifetime. This means you should avoid wearing your ring while sleeping, showering, cleaning, gardening or doing sports. It is also a good idea to avoid direct contact with perfume, make up or other harmful chemicals. Your ring will last longest when stored in a cool, dry place, ideally separate from other jewellery so hard surfaces do not scratch it.

If your ring needs freshening up, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges or polishing liquids, as these can scratch the surface or seep into the mechanism. Brass and sterling silver rings may darken slightly over time, which is a completely natural process for these materials and easily softened with a gentle wipe.

Our waterproof rings are our 316L surgical stainless steel rings without a spinning head. Our spinning rings have an inner ball bearing, which means they should always be kept dry, while our plain 316L rings can handle water and everyday wear with ease.

Method 1 · Measure a ring

Pick a ring that fits the right finger.
Place it on a mm ruler and measure the inner diameter — the inside of the circle.
Match the mm to your size above.

Method 2 · Measure your finger

Wrap paper or string (~10 cm) around the base of your finger — snug, not tight.
Mark where the ends overlap.
Lay it flat on a mm ruler and measure to the mark. That length is your circumference — match it above.

Tips

Measure twice to be sure.
Fingers swell when warm and late in the day — measure then. Between sizes? Size up.
Measure the exact finger (and hand) you'll wear it on.
